Mariah "Mars" Lichty
Hello! My name is Mariah "Mars" Lichty (soon to be Mariah "Mars" Maxwell). I have been practicing henna in one way or another since 2014, and I started Thriving Hearts Henna in 2018. My Mom, Kathryn, works events with me as a second artist. Events I regularly attend are the Alexandria Art Market, Art in the Park, and the Douglas County Fair.
I make my own henna paste using all natural, skin safe ingredients. (Please see the "What is Natural Henna?" link above for all the details.) If I have a reference photo, I can most likely duplicate it, so I welcome you to share with me your own ideas and creations that you would like to see on yourself with henna! I have a lovely home studio where you can relax and enjoy the henna experience with me.
On the side, I create graphic art and tattoo designs. I call Alexandria, MN home, where I live with my fiancée and our three cats: Pugsley, Alina, and Thea. I am an open book who will listen without judgement. I believe that henna can be incredibly healing, especially for those struggling with body image or mental health issues. I will not judge your scars because they are a testament to your journey and because I bear scars of my own. Our journeys make us stronger, even when they make us feel weak, because sooner or later you walk out the other side.
